Turns out that yesterday’s service outage was caused as much by Pete Cashmore (@mashable) as it was the rate limit (which I really, really hope will disappear today!)  Pete wrote about the Twitter Influence Calculator yesterday morning and immediately drove nearly 1,000 people to the site to check out the application.
